Quicker, easier online access to your health care benefits
HISD is making it easier for employees to access information about their health benefits plans, just in time for the annual enrollment period in November.
Beginning Monday, Aug. 24, www.hisdbenefits.org will offer single sign-on capabilities to some of our health partners’ sites, meaning you don’t need to enter a separate username and password when accessing these sites. If logging on from home or a network outside of HISD, employees will use their HISD log-in credentials.
To access the Benefits website from the HISD network:
- Go to myHISD
- Click the Benefits heart icon under Employee Quick Links.
- Click HISD Benefits and Information
- From the hisdbenefits.org home page, employees can go directly to Aetna, RedBrick Health and our benefits enrollment site, where you can enroll, check your benefits, or add a beneficiary
- The CVS Caremark and UnitedHealthcare website still require employees to log in with their existing credentials
Employees are encouraged to log in to see their benefits elections in order to make the best decision for them and their families when annual enrollment begins Nov. 5, 2015. More information will be communicated as the enrollment period approaches to inform employees of changes for the coming year.
