For the 29th year in a row, the Houston Hispanic Forum (HHF) will be hosting its annual Career and Education Day for Houston-area students.

The event will take place on Saturday, Feb. 14, 2015, at the George R. Brown Convention Center (1001 Avenida de las Americas), and all HISD middle- and high-school students are welcome.

Students and their parents will be able to get information on student loans, scholarships, and other aspects of financial aid and college life, as well as help in selecting a school to attend.

Representatives from more than 100 colleges and universities will be on hand to provide information about their institutions’ programs, and students can attend panel sessions exploring a number of topics, such as: financial aid; college admission; and careers in art, education, and health.

A computer lab will also be available at the event so that students can complete a FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) form online.

The HHF’s Career and Education Day is free. Students should contact their school counselor for more information.
