A number of generous organizations have stepped up this fall to assist parents who struggle to buy school supplies, uniforms, and other items for their children.
The Moran Norris Foundation, for instance, got freshmen off to a great start on Aug. 18, at Madison High School, with the distribution of backpacks and school supplies, while every student at Berry Elementary School received a backpack filled with supplies from the Chinese American Relief Effort.
Reliant, meanwhile, helped more than 4,000 students at 39 different schools, including prekindergarten students at the Bellfort Early Childhood Center on Aug. 19.
HISD wishes to express its sincerest thanks to these caring community partners.
