West Briar MS featured in first ‘WOW! Moment’ video
New video series to share best practices among HISD schools
Amazing things are happening everyday within the walls of HISD’s 283 schools, and each month the HISD Multimedia team will be capturing some of these moments on video in a new series called “WOW! Moments.”

The short video vignettes will capture a technique, an idea, or a best practice from a school that othermembers of Team HISD can learn from. The videos are designed be “bite-sized” ideas that campuses can implement quickly in an in effort to increase student achievement, improve the culture of their campus, or facilitate the development of global graduates.
This’ months WOW! Moment video highlights West Briar Middle School, where Principal Keeley Simpson keeps a sharp eye on dress code violators by stationing staff at both entrances every morning, By identifying students out of uniform before they even get inside the building, she minimizes class disruptions and preserves teachers’ valuable instructional time.
