In memoriam: Officer Paul Crosser (1963-2016)
HISD Police Officer Paul Crosser passed away Thursday, March 31, at the age of 52.
The six-year member of Team HISD is described by HISD Police Chief Robert Mock as an excellent employee who was awarded the Operations Bureau Employee of the Year honor in 2013.
Crosser was most recently assigned to Westside High School, where Principal Peggi Stewart said he took the time to get to know the students and staff on a personal level.
“I’ve had the honor of working with many HISD officers, but Officer Crosser was one of the best,” Stewart said. “He was a wonderful friend and colleague. He was a valued member of our team and our family. He was loved on a personal and professional level. I feel extraordinarily blessed that I got to give him a big hug just a few days ago.”
A funeral service will be 3 p.m., Saturday, April 2, at Bear Creek United Methodist Church, 16000 Rippling Water Dr., 77084.
The family will greet friends from 2-3 p.m. at the church.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society.
Deepest condolences to the family, friends, and colleagues. Earth has no sorrow that heaven cannot heal.
Heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of Officer Crosser.
