Help Chick-fil-A, Telemundo recognize outstanding HISD teachers
Chick-fil-A, Telemundo, and HISD are continuing our partnership to recognize HISD teachers who are doing outstanding work in the classroom.
The Teacher of the Month Award is designed to showcase the work of HISD educators who inspire students and others, who go above and beyond in the classroom, and/or are active in their community. In the Fall 2016, four HISD teachers were honored for their hard work and dedication:
- Stephanie Paz, Bellaire High School
- Olga Cantoni, St. George Place
- Magdalena Sanchez, Lantrip Elementary
- Lara Gaona, Mandarin Immersion Magnet School
Winners receive a Chick-fil-A catered breakfast at their school for 100 people, Chick-fil-A chicken sandwiches for a year, and recognition on a Telemundo broadcast and station website.
Only HISD teachers are eligible to be nominated for this award, and they must be an active elementary (prekindergarten–grade 5) or secondary (grades 6–12) teacher.
