HR leaders honored by Texas A&M
HISD’s top Human Resources leaders are being recognized by The College of Education and Human Development (CEHD) at Texas A&M University for their years of service in public education. HISD Chief Human Resources Officer Gloria Cavazos and Officer of Human Capital Jeff McCanna will be honored this Friday at the 2017 CEHD Dean’s Roundtable.
Established in 1991, the Dean’s Roundtable has recognized more than 550 individuals who have been role models, mentors, and servant leaders in their communities. Over the years, sponsors of the event have raised over $450,000 in support of scholarships, programs, and college initiatives. This year’s honorees include superintendents, principals, classroom teachers, professors, counselors, and other education professionals.
“By identifying transformational leaders to be honored at the Dean’s Roundtable, sponsors elevate the accomplishments of dedicated individuals who positively impact the lives of people throughout the great state of Texas and beyond,” stated CEHD Dean Joyce M. Alexander. “This year, as always, our benefactors have chosen to honor a distinguished group of professionals who share our vision of transforming lives.”
