Jeans Friday to celebrate Astros
Superintendent encourages schools and staff to ‘Orange Out’
The Houston Astros are set to face off with the Red Sox for the American League Division Series on Thursday and Friday at Minute Maid Park, which will be Games 1 and 2 of the series.
The Astros have encouraged fans across the city to “Orange Out Houston” – asking them to wear orange clothing and accessories, decorate their buildings and homes in orange, and creatively display their Astros pride.
Here at HISD, Superintendent Carranza is encouraging all staff and students to show their support by wearing orange on Thursday and Friday. And as an added bonus, all members of TeamHISD can wear jeans on Friday!
