ALL TEACHERS

October is National Principals Month

October is National Principals Month, and at HISD we all are honored to celebrate our district principals in many ways. We are encouraging students, parents, staff, and community members to honor and thank district principals by printing one of our custom e-cards, which are downloadable here. You can include a message to give to your school leader, display in your classroom, and post on your school’s social media. And, starting today, every campus will take part in a “Spirit Week,” which is detailed here, to honor our principals. Please be sure to tag @HoustonISD on social media.

Social and Emotional Learning

Please see this flyer for the Social Emotional Learning Department Fall Professional Development Training schedule. All trainings will be virtual and include Classroom Management, Trauma-Informed Practices, Adult SEL, Integrating SEL into the Classroom, De-escalation, Restorative Practices, Sanford Harmony, and SEL/Culturally Responsive Classrooms. Teachers may log into OneSource to sign up for these trainings. Please consider sharing this information with your colleagues. Have a great week!
