Great American School Lunch Challenge March 6–8
March is National Nutrition Month, and in a nod to the many different variables that can affect individuals’ food choices, the theme this year is “Eat Right, Your Way, Every Day.”
HISD will be particularly focused on the subject of nutrition next week, when district representatives will travel to Washington, D.C. to compete in The Great American School Lunch Challenge. Members of HISD’s Food Services department will be squaring off against their peers from the State of Delaware’s Colonial School District with the help of celebrity Food TV network chefs in this exciting, “Iron Chef”-style competition.
