This week’s Shout Out goes to the staff of the Retirement Storefront and Drug Free Workplace, from Employee Support Services Manager Tammy Young, for their determination to deliver top-notch customer service, no matter what.

“They have been displaced from a number of workplace locations over the years, as opportunities arose to use HISD facilities for such things as the on-site clinic and the new Energy Institute Magnet School,” explained Young. “But the unit is heavily employee/customer service focused, and the staff has continued to operate with the utmost patience, caring, and professionalism; treating potential retirees and visitors to the Drug Free Workplace with the great respect that they deserve.”

Young also praised the group for their can-do attitudes. “They do not believe in sending employees from department to department,” she added. “If at all possible, all eight members of the team operate by contacting different resources in other departments to resolve employee issues. They have never wavered in their willingness to make sure all employee/customer issues completely resolved.”

Ms. Prater and Mrs. Tindall-Ennis are so accommodating. They have great personalities and wonderful employee relations. They always make you feel like a VIP when you are with them.
