Reminder, this Friday at 11:59 p.m., the ASPIRE eligibility confirmation period will close. All eligible campus-based employees should view their preliminary ASPIRE award eligibility status and submit an inquiry through the ASPIRE portal if there appear to be errors in their eligibility data.

The eligibility confirmation period is the only opportunity to review attendance and Prescriptive Plan of Assistance (PPA) status issues affecting ASPIRE eligibility. This period began on Sept. 22.

If you have not reviewed your preliminary ASPIRE eligibility status, log on to the ASPIRE portal, click on the “My Resources” tab, navigate to the “BFK Award” section and click on “My Awards.”

Click here to download all 2013–2014 ASPIRE awards charts, diagrams and documents, for a more detailed explanation of the 2013–2014 ASPIRE awards. Employees are encouraged to access this information prior to reviewing ASPIRE award estimates.

Former HISD campus-based employees who served during the 2013-2014 school year were sent written notification via postcard providing them instructions on how to access their ASPIRE information. They will also be able to submit formal inquiries through the ASPIRE portal. Emails and phone calls will not be considered formal inquiries.

On Jan. 21, 2015, HISD will formally announce the official 2013–2014 ASPIRE awards. Eligible current employees will receive their additional compensation through direct deposit; eligible former employees, through a check mailed to their address on file. For individual staff members who have a formal ASPIRE award inquiry pending, payment may be delayed until the inquiry has been resolved.

If you still have questions about the ASPIRE award program, after you have thoroughly reviewed this information, please e-mail ASPIREaward@houstonisd.org.
