Get inspired and informed at Jan. 10 Elementary Literacy Summit

Elementary school teachers who want to kick their literacy instruction skills up a notch should mark their calendars for early next year.
HISD’s Elementary Curriculum and Development department will be conducting an Elementary Literacy Summit from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 10, 2015, at the Kingdom Builders’ Center (6011 W. Orem Dr., 77085), and all teachers in grades Pre-K through 5 are invited.
The summit will have dozens of sessions from which to choose, all designed to inspire, educate, and inform attendees. Keynote speakers will include Maria Walther, Lester Laminack, and Judy Wallis, and Clifford the Big Red Dog will be also be on hand for photos.
Interested teachers must sign up via eTRAIN by Friday, Dec. 19, using code number TT2735.
