East Early College High School librarian Cynthia Ramos recently was awarded the district’s Librarian of the Year award for her dedication to the students and staff on her campus.

Ramos sponsors the high school’s Name That Book team, which placed second in the district’s high school competition. She also helped coordinate a campus-wide project called One Book, where she was able to get the entire campus, including teachers and staff, to read the same book throughout the year.

“Cynthia is a dynamic and engaged librarian who works tirelessly to interest students in reading and supporting classroom curriculum,” said Liz Philippi, Manager of Library Media Services.
