Trustees, along with Superintendent Richard Carranza, took time during the November Board of Education meeting to recognize some of the district’s hard working and dedicated support personnel. The recognition was part of Education Support Professionals Day, which is Wednesday, Nov. 15
Nearly a dozen executive assistants to district administrators throughout the district were presented with certificates of appreciation along with a single red rose given to them by Superintendent Carranza and Trustee Diana Davila.

“When I was a principal, everyone knew that I didn’t run the school, it was my secretary that ran the school, that’s how important she was,” Carranza joked. “I want to thank all of our support personnel. We couldn’t do what we do without you.”
“I want to thank everyone who is out there in our schools and here in the central office that make all this possible every single day for us,” Davila said. “You are there every day for our students, parents, and our staff.”
