HISD Up Close April 2012

In this edition of Up Close, HISD Board of Education president Mike Lunceford tours the Bellfort Early Childhood Center, a facility recently converted for young children thanks to the 2007 HISD Bond Program. He also talks with Issa Dadoush of HISD Construction and Facility Services to get an update of other Bond projects underway. And, Mike talks with fellow Board member Rhonda Skillern-Jones to get the low-down on events happening in District II. They are joined by the principal of Frank Black Middle School, where a renaissance is underway. Finally, Mike is joined by Rebecca Flores of HISD’s Government Relations office to learn about how the district is keeping up to date on government proposals at the local, state and federal level.
