Over 200,000 students return to classes on August 27, several new campus built under the 2007 bond referedum open for the 2012-2013 school year, students will have more healthy menu options in the school cafeteria this year, HISD school buses have several new safety additions to keep students safe, and fourth and fifth graders are encouraged to audition for HISD Honors Choir.
