HISD Strategic Direction May 2013
In 2010, HISD developed a Strategic Direction or roadmap for the district’s future. Since the plan’s adoption, HISD has made major progress in each of the five core initiatives which include: an effective teacher, an effective principal, rigorous instructional standards and supports, data driven accountability and a culture of trust through action.
