Community Connections, September 2012

In this edition of HISD Community Connections, we find out about the annual Energy Day, and how students and parents can learn more about how to better conserve natural resources. And, we’ll talk with Dr. Bernard Harris, a NASA astronaut who has devoted his life to showing students the importance of STEM education. And, we’ll talk with a representative from the Houston Museum of Natural Science about the offerings they have for teachers and students. Finally, we’ll tell you how you can support public education – just by filling up at the gas pump.
