HISD has approximately 60,000 students who are classified as English Language Learners (ELL), and to help teachers make the most of their instructional time with those students, Professional Support & Development has developed eight ‘everyday excELLence’ routines in partnership with the Multilingual department.
Teachers can implement these simple, high-impact, research-based instructional routines to help ELL learn rigorous content while developing stronger vocabulary and literacy skills.
