Intent to Return Survey (2024-2025 School Year)

2024 February 14
by HISD Communications

High-quality educators are the strongest drivers of student learning and success. In addition, predicting vacancies accurately— and hiring earlier— gives campuses the best opportunity to provide students excellent teaching and learning year-round.

Human Resources is administering an Intent to Return survey from February 14 – March 1. The survey is required, and available via OneSource Employee Self-Service. Through this survey, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Name your intentions for the 2024-2025 school year.
  • Indicate interest in working at a New Education System (NES) campus next school year. Indicating no interest in NES will remove you from consideration for an NES role.

Educators are required to review the district’s Employee Value Proposition (EVP), outlining not only what is expected of employees, but also the supports employees can expect of Team HISD. Early notice of vacancies based on these results allows campus principals to address staffing needs proactively, allocate resources effectively, and maintain high standards of educator quality for students.

Note that the survey can only be completed once. Upon completion, the link will be removed from your OneSource Employee Self-Service page.

Previous communication to current and future NES educators can be found here, and the Phase 1 Timeline can be found here.

Open Transfer Guidelines for the 2024-2025 school year are forthcoming. Questions about NES can be directed to NESSupport@HoustonISD.org.
