Each month, HISD’s Construction and Facility Services (CFS) department recognizes two of its team members as the Employees of the Month. One is selected from the facilities (maintenance) side, while the other is chosen from the operations (custodial services) branch.

The honorees for the past three months are:

Jan. 2015

  • Stephen Green (facilities)—Green is a plumber journeyman who was described by his nominator as “a hard and dedicated worker who all HISD employees should strive to be. He completes assignments with pride and no complaints.”
  • Kenneth Wilson (operations)—Wilson is a plant operator who was described by his nominator as “an asset to HISD who is always on top of all issues and concerns. He provides great follow-through.”

Dec. 2014

  • Anthony Harvey (facilities)—Harvey is a senior electrician who was described by his nominator as “a hard worker who is an asset to the district. He takes pride in his work and goes the extra mile to get the job done. He also communicates effectively and gets along well with people.”
  • Darline Alexander (operations)—Alexander is a plant operator who was described by her nominator as “a great worker who is dependable and always on time for every task. Ms. Alexander goes above and beyond.”

  • James Mora (facilities)—Mora is a senior trainer who was described by his nominators as “devoted to the purpose and mission of CFS. With a consistent attitude of customer service, Mr. Mora’s contributions and volunteer spirit continue to create a positive climate in all professional and training circles. He epitomizes the very spirit of ‘Service Excellence’ and he has won the respect and trust of all those he serves.”
