Don’t forget to cast your online vote in the 2015 District Advisory Committee (DAC) elections, which run Dec. 7–18.
School employees are eligible to vote only for a nominee from their particular Chief School Officer’s group.
To cast your vote, click on the “District Advisory Committee (DAC)” link under “Application Links” at the top of the myHISD home page and follow the instructions. The online voting tool will be available beginning Monday, Dec. 7.
Results will be posted after the election.
The DAC serves in an advisory role to the Board or its designee when establishing and reviewing the district’s educational goals and objectives, as well as major district-wide classroom instructional programs.
The DAC comprises parents, community members, and business representatives who are appointed by the Superintendent or his designee, along with elected campus-based and district-level professionals, at least two-thirds of whom must be classroom teachers.
