eTRAIN going away June 12—register now for summer PD
As part of the transition to OneSource, all members of Team HISD need to register in eTRAIN by June 12 for all summer training and professional development from June 1 to August 18, 2016. This includes August pre-service training (August 8-18) and Job-Alike training (August 11 & 17) for teachers as well as any professional development offered during the months of June, July, and August.
After June 12, eTRAIN will no longer be available through the HISD portal for training registration or viewing your employee eTRAIN course history transcript (list of completed courses). Those employees wishing to register for a summer training (face-to-face sessions or online courses) after June 12 must send an email request to the department —no phone calls or faxes will be accepted.
Summer training email confirmations will be sent twice—one by May 25 and another on June 15. Staff are asked to print the confirmation email and bring to any in-person training along with your employee ID badges.
Also, employees should print a hard copy and save an electronic copy of their eTRAIN course history transcript (all years) by June 12 for personal reference. Employees may review eTRAIN course history transcript for accuracy to date before June 12. Employee historical course completions will transfer into the new OneSource learning management system as it reflects on the current eTRAIN course history transcript.
Starting in mid-August, employees will log into OneSource to view and register for all HISD training and professional development.
