Open teacher-transfer period

HISD’s annual open teacher-transfer period will begin on Monday, April 26, and end at
5 p.m. on Friday, May 28, 2021. Transfer requests will not be considered after May 28.
During this period, eligible teachers, nurses, and counselors are free to transfer between HISD campuses to fill open positions for the 2021-2022 school year.
Principals are reminded to complete all required reference checks before making an offer.
