Scheduled Payment: $2,500 Teacher Signing Incentive

For the 2023-2024 school year, HISD offered a $2,500 New Teacher Signing Incentive to all new-to-HISD classroom teachers. To qualify for the incentive, new-to-HISD teachers needed to receive and accept an offer through HISD TRACS by June 30, 2023.
This incentive will be paid in one lump sum on the Sept. 27, 2023, paycheck.
All qualifying teachers have received a direct email, confirming eligibility. Questions regarding the incentive and/or eligibility can be directed to the Teacher Recruitment team at TeacherRecruitment@Houstonisd.org or at 713-556-7373.
This incentive is only being distributed to classroom teachers. Media specialists, librarians, teacher specialists, nurses, counselors, and secondary Special Education chairs do not qualify.
