Social and Emotional Learning
Say Something Anonymous Reporting System Training. The Social and Emotional Learning Department, in partnership with Sandy Hook Promise—See Something Say Something Anonymous Reporting System (SS-ARS) team, has scheduled their fall training. The training will provide staff with training on the P3 system (the anonymous system for students to report bullying, gun violence, etc.) and training students, as well as supporting campus teams with best practices for using the system. Understanding and applying these steps in school can keep youth and communities safe. The Say Something program instills three simple yet powerful steps:

  • Look for warning signs and threats
  • Act immediately
  • Tell a trusted adult

Elementary Math Teacher Service Day on Friday, Sept. 17, 2021: These sessions focus on multiple mathematics topics. Click on this PD Catalog to access OneSource numbers and times.   • Grade 4 and Grade 5 Imagine Math to Support Tier 1 and HB4545

All Grade 1 teachers are being asked to enroll in the Grade 1 Reading Academy session for the day.  

Elementary Math: New Teacher Cohort 
Join this cohort for new math teachers (grades 1-3) on Sept. 13 to will meet, collaborate, and grow in a professional learning community that supports growth and development relating to classroom management and organization, mathematics best practices, and content strategies. HB3 Math Academy for Grade 2: Building Content Capacity Problem-Solving, Part 1
Join this session for all grade 2 math teachers on Sept. 14. Participants will delve deeper into grade-level specific concepts by exploring strategies that build conceptual thinking and teaching of mathematics. They will also explore TEKS-specific strategies. SECONDARY TEACHERS

Career and Technical Education (Secondary Schools)
Each month CTE will showcase the excellent work of CTE students, teachers, and campuses to inform students, parents, and stakeholders about the programs of study the district offers. This will also bring awareness to post-graduation opportunities in the workforce. Campus instructors and personnel can submit videos, pictures, and/or student work to CTE via https://bit.ly/2X76UKV.  The work will be showcased on the CTE website and social media platforms.
