myHISD is the new internet homepage on district computers
myHISD, the district’s secure internal intranet site, is set to be the default homepage for employees when they log in to their work computers and open Internet Explorer. The change is scheduled to take place beginning at 4 p.m. Friday, Jan. 15.
Employees can use myHISD as an on-demand, central resource for districtwide news and resources. District leadership decided to make the change so employees have easy access to news they need to know and tools needed to do their jobs.
Before the default homepage takes place, employees should log off and log back into their work stations.
Employees can also securely access the site from home by going to https://remote.houstonisd.org and logging in using the same username and password used to log into their work computer.
