Benavides, who helps service the Hattie Mae White Educational Support Center HVAC system, was honored for his prompt and conscientious attention to repair requests as well as his never-ending smile.
Galindo and Elizondo, while working in different departments, both were recognized for their dedication to help students new to both HISD and/or the country as they make the sometimes difficult transition to a new school environment.
Technology trainers Goedken and Duva received Team HISD hats thanks to their excellent customer service skills when guiding training sessions for central office and campus employees, and both represent the Technology department well in all their interactions.
Jenkins first joined HISD 24 years ago and has always shown the willingness to go above and beyond. When a new employee needed to take public transportation to come to the central office to pick up his paycheck, Jenkins took it upon herself to ensure the employee received his paycheck without having to rely on buses. Additionally, her vast experience with the district makes her a go-to resource for her coworkers.
