Thanks to their hard work toward improving student achievement, more than 5,400 campus-based employees will receive a total of $17.1 million in ASPIRE Award payments for the 2014–2015 school year.

The awards are designed to recognize members of Team HISD whose hard work has led to increased student academic growth and progress. Employees who received the award include core foundation teachers, non-core foundation teachers, teaching assistants, instructional support and operational support staff, principals, assistant principals, and deans.

Current employees will receive their ASPIRE Award via direct deposit on Wednesday, Feb. 3. Former employees will have a check mailed to their home address on file the same day.

Due to budgetary constraints, the award model did change from the prior year, resulting in a decrease in the maximum award amounts. There also was a slight decrease in the number of considered and paid employees.

Questions about how the ASPIRE Award was calculated can be sent to ASPIREaward@houstonisd.org. Also, read more about changes to the program for the 2015–2016 program year by clicking here.
