Change agents get creative to spread word about OneSource
Life–size cutouts, social media, and T-shirts bringing awareness to new system that will launch in July
Members of HISD’s first ever Change Agent Network have been tasked with spreading the word about OneSource and many are getting creative in order to make sure all members of Team HISD are aware of the new system that will launch districtwide in July 2016. At Nutrition Services, change agents have created live-size cutouts of themselves to help bring awareness to the single system that will provide a seamless integration between HR, Payroll, and Finance and Logistics.

“Folks usually do a double-take when they see me after my cut-out in the main lobby,” said Operations Manager Keith Lewis, who came up with the idea for the life-size posters. “I take my role as a change agent seriously, and I wanted to do something that would get peoples’ attention about OneSource and the benefits as well as the changes this new system will bring.”
Lewis and his fellow change agents are also spreading the word to their colleagues during lunchtime and through weekly meetings and regular emails. More than 400 change agents across the district are acting as a communications conduit from the district level to individual schools and departments regarding OneSource. All change agents have received posters to display at their school or department as well as a special T-shirts that they can wear on OneSource Fridays.
Many change agents are sharing pictures and posting on social media using the hashtag #HISDOneSource. Check out the video below from Angela Haskins from Anderson Elementary.
