Team HISD mourning loss of CTE program specialist
Dedre Jefferson
On Dec. 15, the HISD family suffered a terrible loss with the passing of Dedre Jefferson. Ms. Jefferson served the children of HISD with genuine passion. As a senior CTE program specialist, she advocated for all children and helped put many of them on a path to success.
When she wasn’t on the job here at HISD, Ms. Jefferson was serving the Alief ISD community as a respected member of that school district’s Board of Education. Ms. Jefferson was also a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
“Ms. Jefferson made a positive difference in the lives of countless children across our city,” said Chief Academic Officer Grenita Lathan. “She also inspired those of us who were honored to work with her.”
