Registration is open for the Feb. 22 Paraprofessionals Forum
Non-instructional and instructional support staff are invited to attend HISD’s second Paraprofessionals Forum of the year to help grow and develop their existing skills to support students.
The forum, which is scheduled for 1-3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 22, will take place at Wheatley High School. Feb. 22 is an early release day for the district.
Employees can choose from a variety of sessions that will help them support districtwide initiatives, learn new skills to excel on the job, and explore opportunities to grow professionally. Topics covered will include customer service, resume building, classroom management, instructional technology, Microsoft Office, and more.
In addition, representatives from educational institutions and HISD departments will share resources about certification programs, degree programs, financial aid for education, professional development, and the Administrative Professionals Exchange (APEX).
