HISD students from Ashford elementary school deliver news about Bellaire high school teacher Michael Clark and Booker T. Washington high school teacher Nghia Le being selected as finalists for the H-E-B Excellence in Education Award. Also, “Read Across America” was celebrated at Walnut Bend elementary school as volunteers from Phillips 66 and the Barbara Bush Foundation showed up to show students how much fun reading can be.
