Meeting on Jan. 15 an opportunity for principals to be involved in budget process

As I mentioned during the Principals Meeting this month, the 2019-2020 budget process is underway.

It’s vitally important to get campus leaders’ input as the district’s budget planning continues. That is why I am inviting all principals to join me for a Budget Priorities Meeting on Tuesday, Jan. 15 at 4:30 p.m. in HISD Board Auditorium (4400 West 18th St.). While this meeting is optional, it’s an opportunity for our campus leaders to be the voice for their school in the 2019-2020 budget planning process.

On December 3, the HISD Board of Trustees heard the first report from HISD Chief Financial Officer Rene Barajas on initial budget projections for the coming school year. You can watch the presentation in the following video:
