The College Readiness and Multilingual departments are hosting the DREAM Summit on Saturday, Dec. 10, 2016, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Hattie Mae White Educational Support Center, 4400 W. 18th St., Houston, 77092. All HISD DREAMers, DACA recipients, visa holders, permanent residents, refugees, and asylum grantees, along with their parents, are invited to attend.
At the summit, students will learn how to successfully complete college applications, apply for financial aid, and make the most of the college experience. The event will also include:
- College information sessions
- College and resource fair
- College and financial aid application lab for seniors
- Financial aid guidance
In addition, there will be information regarding Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, various university programs, and community resources. Lunch will be provided.
