OneSource Fridays are here!
Look for change agents wearing jeans and OneSource T-shirts every Friday
Members of the district’s Change Agent Network will be wearing OneSource T-shirts with jeans every Friday to help spread the word about this important districtwide system that will go live July 1, 2016. This will allow members of Team HISD to identify them as a resource to find out more about OneSource and the changes it will bring.
When you see OneSource Change Agents wearing their T-shirts on Fridays, take a picture and share on Twitter using #HISDOneSource. If you are interested in becoming a change agent, email OneSource@houstonisd.org.
OneSource is the name of the large scale project that will enhance and combine critical district functions such as HR, Payroll, Procurement, and Finance. OneSource will:
- Upgrade current SAP functionality in areas of finance and procurement
- Move HR and payroll processes from PeopleSoft to SAP
- Provide employees with an improved self-service platform to manage personal data
- Provide principals with a self-service platform to manage business transactions
- And much more
Training starts this spring
OneSource will impact day-to-day business transactions and processes across all schools and district offices. All members of Team HISD will be impacted by the new system and will need to receive training. Depending on their role, some employees will need to undergo more training than others. All current SAP and PeopleSoft users must undergo training to receive a working login to access the system after go live.
