Accolades: Team HISD hats, teacher recognition and more

According to the coworkers who nominated them, the four employees recognized with Team HISD hats are shining examples of what the district can accomplish when employees consistently go above and beyond the call of duty.
Janice Dunigan (Human Resources), Michael Webb (Child Study), Perry Weston (Communications), and Prosper Williams (IT) were honored during the meetings for doing just that.

- Jane Long Academy Spanish teacher Fidel Andrade was recently recognized by Telemundo and Chick-fil-A as their most recent teacher of the month. Read more.
- Sharpstown Principal Rob Gasparello was awarded the Yvette and Joel Mallah Crystal Heart Apple Award for his work promoting healthy lifestyles on his campus. Read more.
- Nutrition Services teams across the district were honored during National School Lunch Hero Week for their work keeping students properly fed and ready to learn. Read more.
