Support in place for OneSource go-live week

It’s here! OneSource is going live Tuesday, July 5.

To log in, go to the myHISD homepage using an HISD computer or laptop while on the HISD network and click on the OneSource logo in “Employee Quick Links.” Use your HISD username and password to log in.

During the next few days, departments and schools are encouraged to focus on the following efforts:

  • Time entry and approval for the pay period June 20 to July 3
  • Creation and approval of shopping carts
  • Travel entry and approval
  • ProCard use and approval

To assist with these tasks, a tiered-system of support has been set up which includes open labs, increased staff on the IT Service Desk, and an online support site.  

OneSource Support Site
If you are unable to log in or are experiencing difficulties accessing time entry, time approval, and other functions in OneSource, go to the OneSource Support Site. The site contains quick reference guides and tip sheets to troubleshoot common issues, a list of frequently asked questions, and help videos. The site is updated on a regular basis based on customer service calls to the IT Service Desk. You can also access the site via the OneSource Training/Support button located in the top right hand corner of myHISD.

IT Service Desk
The IT Service Desk will be staffed with extra personnel during go-live week to troubleshoot issues and answer questions. The Service Desk can be reached at 713-892-7378. Hours of operation for July 5- 7 will be from 6:30 a.m. – 6 p.m.

*To reduce the number of calls and wait time, please visit the OneSource Support Site before calling the IT Service Desk. Also please limit calls to the Service Desk to tasks related to time entry, approval, shopping carts, ProCards, and travel. Other tasks such as running reports, etc. can wait till after we get through the first week. 

Open Labs
IT Service Desk personnel and OneSource subject matter experts will be available at open labs across the district from July 5 - 7. Employees are welcome to stop by between the hours of 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. July 5- 7 to receive assistance. See a list of locations below. Please bring a laptop with you if possible.

  • East: Energy Institute High School (1808 Sampson St., 77003) Room 116
  • West: Hattie Mae White (4440 West 18th St., 77092) Room 3C10
  • South: Teledyne(5827 Chimney Rock Road, 77081) Service Desk
  • Virtual (Online) Tuesday: Click here anytime between 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.

Remote Log-In on non-HISD networks: 

It is highly recommended that payroll is approved on July 5 and 6 at a school or office using an HISD computer or laptop. If you must approve time remotely, please use a HISD laptop to connect to the Cisco AnyConnect VPN software. Once connected, you will be able to log into OneSource. If you have never connected via VPN before, you will need to follow these instructions using an HISD laptop. If you experience difficulty, call the IT Service Desk at 713-892-7378.
