The start of the new school year is just around the corner, and one of the things all students need to have is up-to-date immunizations.

Here’s some good news: Your child can get back-to-school immunizations for free. Here’s where and when you can get them in Houston. Parents must accompany their child and have their child’s immunization records in order to qualify.
Friday, Aug. 23:
1st Annual Healthy Start Fair at The Rusk School, 2805 Garrow St., from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Free haircuts and basic health check-ups will also be available. Entertainment will include moonwalks, performances from cheerleaders, the Astros and more.
Tuesday, Aug. 27:
A.C. Taylor Health Clinic, 13940 Bonham St., from 1 to 3 p.m.
Bruce Elementary, 510 Jensen, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Robert Carrasco Health Clinic, 1115 Noble, from 1 to 3 p.m.
Wednesday, Aug. 28:
Key Middle School, 4000 Kelly, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Thursday, Aug. 29:
Children’s Museum of Houston, 1500 Binz, from 5 to 7 p.m. (first 200 children only; no TB test or flu shots)
