If you are one of the parents who still hasn’t accepted any of the spaces your child has been offered at one of HISD’s magnet campuses for the 2015–2016 school year, then don’t delay any longer.

Friday, April 10, 2015, is the last day on which you can notify a school about your intent to send your child there this fall, but you must visit the campus in person before the close of business in order to complete the paperwork and seal the deal.

Starting next week, HISD will begin the second phase of the magnet-selection process, in which open positions still available at various campuses will be offered to families on waiting lists. Parents who receive notice that their child has been offered a space at a particular campus at that time will have only three school days in which to accept or reject that offer, so that it can be extended to the next family on the waiting list if they are not interested.
