Parker Elementary School’s Advanced Chorus will perform Gustav Mahler’s sublime Symphony No. 3 with the Houston Symphony Orchestra at Jones Hall at the invitation of Maestro Andrés Orozco-Estrada. Performances are scheduled for May 15, 16, and 17.

This invitation came as the result of lengthy and careful selection among the finest children’s and youth choruses in the greater Houston area. Under the direction of Marianna Parnas-Simpson, the Parker Elementary Advanced Chorus is the first public school choir to be invited to perform a piece of this magnitude with the Houston Symphony.
