Community meetings are being held this month for three HISD campuses, which are set to be renovated or rebuilt as part of the district’s 2012 Bond Program.
The three schools, Barbara Jordan High School for Careers, Westbury High School, and Askew Elementary School, recently have entered the construction phase. The meetings will cover construction plans, timelines, and safety information, which could impact stakeholders at each facility.
The meetings are part of the district’s commitment to keeping communities updated about the status of their construction projects.
Meeting times are listed along with links for additional project information.

Across the district, construction currently is underway on roughly three dozen campuses — more than at any other time in district history. Almost half of the planned projects are expected to be completed by summer’s end. Once all work is complete, the district will boast one of the most modern portfolios of urban high schools in the country.
