Students can meet with representatives from dozens of state schools to explore their options
Texas has outstanding colleges and universities, and HISD’s 2013 Texas College Night is a great way to narrow down the choices for students and their families. Texas State Senator Rodney Ellis will be the keynote speaker at the event, which takes place from 5:30 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 6, at Reagan High School (413 E. 13th St., 77008).
Representatives from the state’s flagship universities, including University of Texas System and Texas A&M University System, will be on hand to share information on admission requirements, automatic admission policies, and scholarship opportunities. Guests can register and visit Texas college booths from 5:30 to 6 p.m. and attend a presentation by university representatives from 6 to 8 p.m. Students will also get a chance to ask pertinent questions and get inside tips on how to gain admission to the school of their choice.
