Must be a pool-approved candidate to attend

Although the 2015–2016 school year doesn’t start for more than two months, HISD campuses are busy putting the finishing touches on their faculty selections for next year.

There are still openings at all levels, and candidate pool-approved teachers are invited to attend a district job fair on Thursday, June 18, 2015.

In order to become a “pool-approved” candidate, you must apply and provide your current certifications by clicking here. After you apply and have been screened by the Talent Acquisition team, you will receive additional details about the job fair, including the location and times.

Currently, nearly 70 campuses are registered to attend, and more are expected to sign up. Principals and campus leaders will conduct on-site interviews, and some are prepared to offer contracts on the spot at the job fair.

Critical-needs areas include bilingual, math, science, and high school English/language arts teachers.
