Regular meetings of the HISD Board of Education usually occur on the second Thursday of every month, but next month’s meeting will be taking place a week later than usual.

The meeting originally scheduled for Oct. 8 has been moved to Oct. 15 to accommodate district representatives who will be attending the Council of Great City Schools’ annual fall conference. That event will take place Oct. 7–11, and the October board meeting has been bumped back a week to avoid any scheduling conflicts for administrators.

The usual schedule of board meetings will resume in November.
