Charles Myles in Maintenance and Senior Plant Operator Roy Giles both received Employee of the Year honors. Other Construction and Facilities Services’ employees also were recognized for their outstanding service and positive impact throughout the district.
The more than 400 attendees were treated to a fully catered barbecue lunch during the two-part event. For employees, the raffle prize portion of the luncheon proved to be a huge hit—with many receiving gift cards and prize baskets.
“On behalf of the management of CFS, I really want to say how much we appreciate our team,” said HISD General Manager of Facilities Brian Busby. “This is a chance where we try to really give you all the recognition that you deserve and also to take a moment to fellowship and enjoy each other right around the holidays.”
