Multiple careers were represented by attendees at the fourth annual Career Day held at Foster Elementary on Friday, March 10.
Attending the event were police officers, a therapist, a realtor, an insurance agent, a doctor, dental representatives, an account manager from Centerpoint Energy – and even a snake-handler from Texas Snakes.
Wearing their uniforms, participants rotated to multiple classrooms through the school, explaining their various careers to students and explaining the kinds of knowledge and skills students need to be successful in life after graduation.
“This event gets bigger and bigger every year,” said Foster ES Principal Eric Tingle. “It’s a fantastic opportunity for our children to learn about the many careers they can choose from – and that information is coming directly from the source. We are so excited to teach our students that they can be whatever they want to be in life.”
