From One Texas Institution to Another
It’s always nice to be recognized when you’re working hard in the pursuit of a worthy goal. And that’s why I would like to extend my thanks once again to Blue Bell Creameries.
For the second year in a row, this much-loved Texas institution has brought ice cream sandwiches to the students and staff at two of our campuses—East Early College High School and Project Chrysalis—in honor of their being named National Blue Ribbon Schools.
It was a “sweet” gesture on the part of the folks at Blue Bell, and it means a lot to know that people all the way in Brenham are paying attention to our successes.
Please join me in congratulating Principals Tamera Bolden and José Covarrubia for their schools’ achievements. East Early College and Project Chrysalis are prime examples of campuses that are getting education right.
