Say Thanks During Teacher Appreciation Week

Teachers pour their hearts and souls into everything they do for Houston’s children more than 170 days out of every year. Thus, the Houston ISD extends its gratitude during Teacher Appreciation Week, May 6-10, 2013, to the more than 10,000 teachers who educate our students.

There are many ways students and schools can recognize teachers who make a difference. Salute teachers with a sign on classroom doors, thanking each teacher by name. Put balloon and flower bouquets in every teachers lounge. If you’re fresh out of ideas, visit the National Education Association’s website for more tips.

HISD thanks the community partners who have extended special offers of appreciation to teachers as part of this annual event. For more details, HISD employees can login to the employee portal.
